Top Spring Fashion Trends

Along with the weather, there is another wonderful part of spring that many of us look forward to… the fashion! There’s no better feeling than putting away the parka and bringing out the sundresses and sandals. Something about spring just makes you want to embrace your feminine side, and luckily that’s what a lot of designers’ spring collections are suggesting for spring 2016.

When the spring 2016 styles were shown on the runways last year, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of the designs! If you need a refresher on the top spring trends this season, look no further. I’ve gathered some of the best looks you will want to be wearing as soon as possible.

1. Spanish Flair

Cha cha cha! Ruffles are in, and Spanish influence is strong this season. A ruffled dress with a necktie like the one seen on Huffington Post is so chic and will add a nice variety to a spring wardrobe full of florals. Their idea to pair with skinnies when it’s chilly is also a stylish suggestion.

2. Romantic Maxis

Yes, floral is still a go-to spring style, but this year, it’s a lot more retro. Romantic burnout patterns on long, flowing maxi dresses are a big player in the fashion scene this year. It’s all about romance and lace when it comes to maxis this season, so don’t be afraid to play it up!

3. Off-the-Shoulder

If you were wondering which body part was going to have a “moment” for spring, Miami.com suggests you start flaunting those shoulders. All kinds of off-the-shoulder tops and shirts with the shoulders cut out are going to be everywhere. They are so playful and have a great boho look!

4. Denim-on-Denim

Think back to the ‘90s and early 2000s. Remember all that denim? Well, it’s back, and it’s a lot more stylish than you might’ve imagined it would be. Wearing double denim is a strong spring trend, but to pull it off, just remember to have clashing washes, like putting light on top of dark. Being matchy-matchy will ruin the look.

5. Lace-up Shoes

No more stuffy shoes! Flirty footwear is on the trend scene, with lace-up styles everywhere. Whether you like a flat, gladiator style, dainty stilettos, or breezy boots like those seen at Lyst, there is a lace-up shoe style sure to fit your personality.
